by furqanA humanoid robot created by Chinese tech firm Honor sprinted 100 meters in just 9.32 seconds, outpacing the human world record held by Usain Bolt, according to state media reports on Saturday.
Named “Lightning,” the robot hit a top speed of 14.5 meters per second in a test run leading up to the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.
The achievement eclipses Bolt’s legendary 9.58-second men’s 100-meter record, which has stood since the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin.
