US Tech Giant Honeywell Proposes Major Refinery Upgrade Plan for Pakistan
WASHINGTON — Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with a delegation from Honeywell Technologies on Monday in Washington to discuss a comprehensive plan aimed at modernizing and expanding Pakistan’s refinery sector.
The Honeywell delegation was led by Vice President and General Manager Barry Glickman.

According to the Finance Ministry, Senator Aurangzeb welcomed the proposal, highlighting its potential to boost domestic refining capacity, cut expensive petroleum import bills, and strengthen national energy security while driving sustainable economic growth.
The high-level meeting took place during Aurangzeb’s three-day official visit to Washington, where he is engaging with key US government officials, trade agencies, and international financial institutions. Earlier on Monday, Pakistan and the US resumed dialogue on expanding their bilateral economic partnership, focusing on tariffs, market access, and strategic investment.
During his trip, the Finance Minister is also slated to hold talks with representatives from the Office of the US Trade Representative, US ExBank, the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and the IMF. These discussions aim to secure foreign funding for Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy, and private-sector initiatives.
The delegation’s visit follows ongoing economic negotiations initiated last week to address trade frameworks and tariff measures between the two nations.
